Livestock farming is abandoning large areas of the territory, because it is economically unfeasible in remote areas, or because the rural population it does not have generational replacement. Returning freedom to horses, cows, donkeys and bison in these territories is key to preventing foresta fires. What herbivores do not eat, maintaining a mosaic landscape that alternates large forest patches surrounded by grasslands, will be eaten by fire, causing serious ecological effects to nature and the human economy. Without large herbivores, the vegetation fills up with combustible mass. What they do not devour or trample on by herbivores, is devoured by the flames of high intensity fires that are not normal in nature and cause great ecological and systemic damage.
